1.       Conservation International, an international non-governmental organization, is seeking applicants for the following position to be based in Kasonaweja, Mamberamo:

GIS OFFICER

GIS Officer will be a part of the implementation of The USAID IFACS Mamberamo Project. The USAID IFAC is a four year Project designed to support the USAID Indonesia’s Country Program Strategy 2009 - 2014, Objective 2. Namely, “Sustainable Management of Natural Resources,” Intermediate Result 1 “Improved Management
of Forest Ecosystems” – whereby the Project seeks to reduce threats of deforestation and Climate Change (CC).  To undertake this responsibility the GIS Officer in Kasonaweja will be supported by GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist CI Indonesia and day to day support by Kasonaweja Project Coordinator.

Key Duty/Responsibility:

1.    Field work (ground check and part of the GIS and mapping field activities)
2.    Assist the GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist or Consultant with training and implementing GIS capacity building activities.
3.    Provide support directly to the PEMDA’s new GIS unit to prepare and follow up training, and to guide PEMDA personnel in the beginning and intermediate stages of geospatial analysis and data management
4.    Office (data manage, mapping and presentation and support others
staff)

Qualifications:

1.    Completion of equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry, geography, geographic information systems for Natural Resource Management or other relevant discipline is required. Fresh graduate are Welcome to Apply.
2.    1 to 3 years professional-level experience in geospatial database development, design, and management; geospatial analysis; performance monitoring; and/or the analysis and interpretation of large amounts of data is required.
3.    Strong Computer skills in geospatial database management, geospatial analysis, and cartographic design.
4.    Strong training skills are needed to explain and demonstrate MIS and GIS concepts to USAID staff and Implementing Partners (IPs).
5.    Strong writing skills are required to prepare regular and ad hoc reports, project documentation,
and briefing papers.
6.    Ability to work effectively in a team environment
7.    Willing and has a passion for working in remote areas of Indonesia with limited access such as Mamberamo, Papua.

Metrics Analyst

Responsible for preparing reports and analysis of production activities and performance in the Company:  
  1. Individuals with a statistical, mathematical or related education background are preferable.  Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  2. Candidates should have good capability in English, be “hands on” and be able to produce under pressure to tight deadlines.
  3. An extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required as well as working knowledge of Database and Microsoft Office Suite. VBA scripting language will be considered an asset.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to assemble, calculate, and to present of data in a graphical format as well as good analytical skills are necessary.

The primary responsibilities involve providing and analyzing performance metrics for the Production staff. Will work closely with production Supervisor and Team Leaders to provide weekly performance metrics as well as to ensure that accurate Monthly Performance Management Reports are provided on a timely basis.  Must understand corporate requirements, communicate effectively  and be able to work independently

Responsible for performing Production activities in the Company:  
  1. Individuals with geospatial experience and or fresh graduates from Geography, Geodesy, Remote Sensing & GIS, or related fields.
  2. Candidates should have good capability in English, be “hands on” and be able to produce under pressure to tight deadlines as well as possess an ability to learn new processes and software in a short timeframe.
  3. Possess good communication skills, independent, eager to learn and with high personal standards.  

The primary responsibilities involve specialization of at least one process in the production of elevation and/or feature extraction, Requires the complete comprehension of the company core product processes and procedures, Expected to make decisions of a routine nature involving established procedures, Be flexible with possible temporary assignment to work in other disciplines from time to time, Demonstrate a progressive improvement in their ability to meet the estimated times for task completion, Complete work in accordance with approach and specifications identified in the Project Plans following the appropriate ISO 9001 Quality Organizational Procedures. Employee must work to provide the level of detail and associated accuracy required to meet project standards and specifications.  

This position will work in a team environment and will report to a Team Leader.  

Accounting Officer

Responsible for assisting Finance activities in the Company consisting of accounting, finance, taxation and payroll functions:  
  1. An individual with at least three (3) years of comparable position experience would be ideally suited to the position. Tax filling experience is considered essential while public accounting experience would also be considered an advantage.
  2. Candidates should be fluent in English, be “hands on” and be able to produce under pressure to tight deadlines as well as possess an accounting qualification with appropriate accounting software experience.
  3. An extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required as well as working knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains, Personal Data Keeper (timesheets management); would be advantage.  

The primary responsibilities involve handling accounting activities; ensuring that all transactions (expense-payable, intercompany, general-depreciation/amortization, etc) are recorded properly in accordantly, to handle month-end as well as year-end closing.  To provide financial planning included cash flow management preparation in the company weekly and monthly.  To ensure monthly tax report (21, 23, 25, VAT) properly reported and paid, as well as perform monthly bank reconciliation.   

This position will report to the Finance Manager.
